Daniel Cohn
Daniel has thirteen years of legal experience in a variety of fields and settings. Over the course of his career, he has supported attorneys and clients through complex, often stressful legal matters—always with an eye toward clarity, organization, and compassion. Daniel prides himself on being client-centered, providing high-quality, timely services that are friendly and empathic, yet consummately professional.
Before joining The Goodman Law Firm, Daniel worked in the Legal Department at Wells Fargo Bank in Charlotte for 6 years, focusing on consumer bankruptcy and related financial matters. In that role, he gained deep experience with financial documentation, motion practice, and the day-to-day realities of helping clients and institutions navigate the legal system. He has also contributed to legal publications and has been a well-reviewed presenter at continuing education seminars.
Prior to transitioning into the legal field, Daniel spent 5 years in local and federal law enforcement. During that time, he earned commendations including a top driver award at an FBI tactical emergency vehicle operations program and a top physical achievement recognition in his South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy class. That background gives him a strong sense of discipline, situational awareness, and calm under pressure—qualities that now serve clients well in a family law setting.
At The Goodman Law Firm, Daniel supports the attorneys at nearly every stage of a case. He assists with client intake, organizes and analyzes financial and other records, drafts and proofreads documents, coordinates with courts and opposing counsel, and helps prepare for hearings, mediations, and trials. Daniel’s goal is to keep cases moving forward smoothly while making sure clients know what to expect and feel genuinely supported throughout the process.
Daniel graduated summa cum laude from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and later graduated summa cum laude from Florida Coastal School of Law. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, flying as a private pilot, architectural and landscape photography, reading, and volunteering with Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. He lives in the greater Charlotte area with his wife.
